Hi all,

Im currently commuting 30 miles a day on my road bike. The bike is currently being converted from a racing bike, to a slightly more suitable commuting machine. Its a carbon framed bike, with DA 7800 running gear.

I am looking to change the saddle for something a little more comfortable over the bumpy roads in central london. I am currently using a San Marco carbon saddle, however now weight is less of an issue i was wanting to get a gel based or in general a heavier more comfortable saddle.

As im going for a red detailed theme on the bike, i am looking for a red/black saddle and have found the following saddles that look interesting;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Massi-Prokit-...14&_trkparms=72:1688|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Selle-SMP-Str...14&_trkparms=72:1688|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

I also know the charge spoons are meant to be pretty comfortable aswell. Can anyone suggest any other saddles i should look into?

I've just put Fizik Arione on my road bike (replaced a Selle Italia Signo). Very comfy and available in black/red

I would suggest you just try as many saddles as you can in your friendly LBS. The thing is that everyone is different when it comes to saddle fit. I have tried saddles suggested as 'perfect' and found them useless for me. Another persons opinion is worth as much as a pinch of salt if their ar@e is a different shape.

The only thing I would add is to be wary of too much padding as it can crease and cause soreness, rather than cure soreness, over a 30 mile ride.
