Saddle Rail Clamp Direction

I'm testing out a saddle from a lbs. My post has a slight set back as pictured, im thinking I want to move the saddle a smidgen forward to do so I'd have to rotate the post 180deg. What are the consequences of rotating the post so the set back becomes a set forward ? 20141122_180945.jpg

None apart from looking odd just go for it saves buying a zero setback post

If the rail was parallel to the top of the saddle, I cant see how it would matter whether you have a forward or a reverse set-up. Since it isn't, you might find that the clamp doesn't give you enough adjustment for the saddle angle. It might tend to be too "nose up".

I think.
