Having spent several years and lots of money on various expensive saddles, cycle shorts etc I eventually took the advice from several previous posts. Try a Charge Spoon, probably the best £20 I've spent on cycle stuff. I've done a couple of hundred miles in last 2 weeks and swear it,s the answer. I agree that the cover material does not allow you to slide about very easily and it does tend to hold on to the chamois but you soon get round this by raising yourself slightly prior to move, who knows maybe it will get a bit more "slidy" with use :-)

I've ordered one yesterday due to the reviews it got on here, I hope it lives up to its name

Have tried a few saddles in my short cycling career, still not found one I'm entirely happy with, though the Spoon is the closest yet.
And for the price it's well worth trying.

Very tempted to give this saddle a chance cause i still have the gel thing that came with my bike and its only recently i have learned that gel saddles are not the answer

If you can't get a Charge Spoon, then consider a Madison Flux, which a couple of magazines have suggested is about a 95% clone of a Spoon. Very similar shape and dimensions. Padded with a slightly different grade of foam but it's pretty close to being the self same seat. Similar sort of price, too.......

I have a Flux on my mountain bike (as it was cheaper than the Spoon which was only available locally through one very expensive shop) and it is really good. I would certainly buy another Flux if anything happened to mine. Or I'd buy a Spoon if the price was right!

I have 2 spoons at present. One is smoth and slidy, the other is rough. I had the smooth one first and bought the other one to see if I preferred it - I did.

Ideal for my utility bike. One has been on my tourer for a while and comfortable for up to about 30 miles or 3 hours riding.

The only saddle I find more comfortable is my Brooks, but that's 3 times the price! The Spoon is IMO excellent value and a very good saddle.

I found myself on a longish ride last Friday on a new Charge Spoon with nauseatingly numb nads. Does anybody know what's a bit like a CS but narrower? A Charge Runcible Spoon, perhaps....it's a case of ''Almost, but no thank you!''

Saddle got delivered but I missed it, will go pick it up today

I fitted a new Charge Spoon yesterday after many months of extremely uncomfortable riding on a San Marco Rolls. No matter which way it was adjusted the end result was simultaneous numb nuts and painful sit bones!

I haven't ridden it much yet apart from a short ride around the corner to see if all was well but first impressions are good. The saddle is extremely thin compared to the rolls and appears to have less give in it. We'll see how it goes...

Charge Knife? It's a bit more expensive but a slimmer profile.
