I have had my Saddle at various heights over the last 3 weeks! However i am undecided as to which height is best.
I have been told that when when seated you should be able to touch the floor with both feet on your tip-toes!
I have now set my saddle to this height, however now i feel that i am sat to low for the pedals.
The bike doesn't feel and definately isn't too small.
Any suggestions?
Cheers
Gaz.

At the bottom of the peddle stroke you should have a slight bend at the knee, a good starting point is to be able to just toutch your heal on the peddle at the bottom and then tweak it from there. You wont be able to reach the floor from the saddle.

I prop myself against a wall, sit on the bike, and put my heel (in shoes) on the pedal. Adjust the height of the seat until you have a straight leg, and that should be perfectly fine. Hopping off the seat when you stop, is simple and habit forming,

I think i may of had it set right before i lowered it last night! The only thing is when it was at the height which you's suggest, slightly bent knee at the bottom of the rotation, i suffered from numb hands! Too much weight on them i think. Also i developed a slight pain in my left knee! but that of been down to over doing it.

Probably due to the more suvere drop from the saddle to the bars as your core strength develop's you will carry less weight on your arms, you could try flipping the stem to bring the bars up.

Yeah i thought as much. Just a case of keeping movement in my hands and regular adjustments to hand positions.
