When being sold on the idea of a coaster brake by the chap at the LBS who eventually built my new bike, he lent me an old bike that had a Sachs Torpedo in it, which was pretty damn vicious - hard braking would inevitably end in serious skidding - which whilst frightening, was a bit fun!
However with my new alloy SRC3ii SA 3-speed coaster hub, the braking action is rather smooth and conservative, but no matter how hard I shove the pedals back at however fast I'm going, I can't get it to skid.
I suspect there are reasons why this is a good thing, but is there a way that the coaster brake can be adjusted to make it's action a little more severe and thus capable of skidding if desired?
Having looked at the manual http://www.sturmey-archer.com/products/hubs/cid/3/id/15/tech/1 which doesn't mention this, I fear the answer may be no
