So there I am, cycling my usual route to town this morning and some ignorant idiotic, twatty little arsenugget has decided that it would be fun so smash light bulbs or some such all along the cycle path.

What possible purpose could this serve? How is it fun to put other people on danger!

I am so cross I could spit.

Rant over.

Light bulbs? How civilised! We have a better class of "twatty little arsenugget" around here; it's broken wine bottles. None of your French or Italian muck either, it's your top quality stuff made by monks at an abbey near Buckfastleigh . It's endemic here in any built up area; you either use Schwalbe Marathon tyres, or you stay off the paths. I choose the Schwalbes.

Here for rides.
Perhaps they wish to discourage cycling?

Lamps create light, and are typically electrically powered (though gas etc examples still exist) and made of glass. Smashed ones on cycle paths are bad news

Bulbs are planted into soil, and under the right conditions, grow to become plants/flowers. Smashing them on a cycle path would be a little, well, odd...

Agree about bulbs being garden flower things, but also glass bulbs inserted into lamps or sockets, which when electric current passed through emit light and heat ( sorry just being pedantry) no worries:becool:

Either way they are still arses that are doing this
Shouldn't that be "sorry, just being pedantic."

We have got even more dangerous idiots around here putting wire at neck height on trails used by mountain bikers.
Think that people doing that is far more worrying, than whether they are bulbs/lamps pedantry/pedantic
