To my horror I noticed some of the paint on my spanking new Orbea pedal crank was rubbed off, which I am convinced has been due to my left shoe occassionaly rubbing of the crank, and perhaps when Ive been missing the pedal as I get used to the new road pedals and shoes as I frantically pull away from lights !! I have subtly adjusted the cleat but to stop it getting any worse anyone know if you can get that clear tape that is often on bikes on the areas near the chain ? or I will just get some silver gaffer tape. Was going to just get some spray paint to cover up the exposed metal also thoughts folks?

Cheers Norman how did I not think of this ?? !! I work in aviation too ! not engineerring but refuelling will try and scrounge some! Have you had a similiar experience?

I've got collapsed arches or whatever they call it, and if I forget to wear my insoles I get an excessive amount of crank rub, even with them though I still get it to a degree (but not as much), I could push my cleats in further, foot out further but my knees are happier where they are.
