Roof rack cycle carriers

Anyone got any recommendations? I've looked at a few with varying price tags. Are the cheaper ones upto the job, or is there more chance of damaging the frames with these, as the more expensive ones seem to use different clamping methods/designs?

I've got two Thule 591 Pro-ride cycle carriers fitted to my roof bars. They're excellent, a tad on the pricey side maybe but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

A word of warning though. If you do go for the Thule carrier, when you leave the car unattended remove the plastic securing straps that wrap round the front and back wheel, they are easily knicked.

Another vote for Thule 591 Pro-Ride. I have two and they are a doddle to use, plus you have the peace of mind that you can get spares for them if the need ever arises
