I was wondering about building a rig to test rolling resistance - for a bit of fun.
I have one of those power measurement meters that you plug in the wall and plug a device in to it, I was wondering about connecting it to a belt sander. I could measure the power consumed by the sander with no load and then have the sander lowered on to wheel held in place on my turbo trainer with no load on the wheel, let it spin up driven by the sander and see what the meter says.
I've seen one that used a pendulum and the time to rest, but you need a bit of space for that.
