If you can push those intensities on a set of rollers, I got on my partners rollers yesterday, was spinning like a maniac in my biggest gear and couldn't even get to 85% FTP (i.e. tempo)

I use the sufferfest videos as part of my strava premium membership, you get 3 included. Only managed one so far, but looking forward to trying the next 2! Love my rollers.

I use 3LC i have them all and i rate them.

Im not confident enough yet on rollers to try it, so for now its the Turbo.

Ive got them to keep my legs spinning over winter but also to improve my riding style. Learning to relax and ride more smoothly to get the most out of my pedal strokes.

Depends what you are trying to do on them. Like Robert pointed out earlier, they are not ideal for serious, high intensity work. Turbo is clearly better for that...

To give a sense of perspective.

I could barely get to 75% FTP (250W) on the rollers (they were Tacx rollers, blue plastic drums with a slight curvature to help you stay on them), I think I got there eventually, but was spinning at a silly rate, not a chance of doing a tempo session without loading the bike up with silly gearing and no chance of doing HIIT on them. On my turbo I can get up to 8-900W (can't really push any more than this when seated) and that is the limit of my legs, not the turbo.

I routinely do efforts up to 500W or so on the turbo, this would be impossible on the rollers I have tried.
