rockshox recon race 100

hiya could some one help me with a set of rockshox recon race 100
is not a big problem but when i set it to lock there is still a slight bit of
movement is this normal?

Hi matt, i have the recon race and there is a small amount of movement in locked position

Mine have no movement at all

its not a lot of movement what psi is in yours i'v got about 80 psi
in it and when i put it on lock it moves about 4mm

sorry it moves about an inch

Mine is at 90. It really does lock up tight though, certainly less than 2mm of play if anything.

If yours is moving an inch I'd suggest it needs an overhaul. Thats a lot of play on a 4" travel fork on lockout.

That's wierd, well sorry to have wasted your time.

Seems strange though, if you're getting 1" of play on a 4" fork, thats 25% free play, not even allowing for sag.

As I say, when mine are on lockout, it's like riding on rigid forks to the extent that I've nearly been pitched off after forgetting to turn the lockout off on a fast descent after a climb

I'm sure that Rockshox used to have a "contact us" button on their website but it all seems to have changed.

Can I suggest you get some more opinions here? or pm me if you want me to ask on your behalf?

It just doesn't sound right to me.

Anyone else got any other opinions?
