I'm looking for something I can use to keep coffee warm for the day and that is strong and durable. It will be near my laptop in my bag and I don't want it breaking or leaking. Any recommendations?

You can get metal flask's that fit into a bottle rack so not near computer from most supermarkets and outdoor shops fairly cheaply if they hold enough coffee for you. And if you drop them they dent instead of breaking so are still usable.

The external casing might dent but the internal shell can break quite easily I believe. I don't have a bottle rack either! Any other recommendations?

Help appreciated

Here for rides.
If you get one made by Stanley you can pass it on to the post-nuclear holocaust cockroaches. Or your grandchildren. It will outlast you.

I have a couple of stainless flasks in various sizes. I have used them on climbing trips for years, rattling about with climbing ironmongery in the rucsac. A couple are very dented and they still work fine.

Not had one for years, but my experience always seemed to be that the silvered glass bottle inside was the bit that got smashed up from being jolted around. The outside casing would remain relatively intact no matter what it was made from. Have things changed?

I do like the look of that Stanley one though. Proper kit.

Those flask things are marvellous.

They keep hot things hot, and cold things cold.

But, how do they know the difference ?!!!!!

It's a bit more complicated than that...

Yes. The glass bottle bit has been replaced by a stainless steel inner.
