I've been listening to his radio shows for years (BBC radio London, and doing some charity cycling thing on show today from 2.30). He generally plays music I really like, has interesting guests with intelligent things to say, and is a great advocate for cycling... however, I'm really not so sure about the Rapha-boy look

May I be the first to say ... nobber
You may, but only about his clothes, as far as I'm concerned... he's a top presenter

He's actually one of the most underrated radio presenters out there. Really knows his stuff, his music, about London in general of which he has an encyclopedic knowledge and is a huge cycling advocate.
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I think he's an excellent presenter... just didn't like his clobber in the pic.
And he used to go out with Sade, lucky bleeder.

I always prefered Danny Baker, so I dont like him for that reason.

That said, I do enjoy his Notes and Queries section. Does he still do the Cover to Cover section, that was always a good listen

I first came across him on Ned Sherrin's radio 4 show, Loose Ends, yonks ago. He was refreshingly different.
Yes, Ned was always entertaining, witty and engaging - even when he had that nobber Robert Elms on.
He was.
His regulars also included Emma Freud, Victor Lewis-Smith, Arthur Smith and Carol Thatcher. I missed it when it was gone!
