Just out of interest how many on here wear a road i wrist band or necklace, got one a few months ago after

almost coming off quite bad one morning on a solo ride, just had a thought if i was found no one knows my name etc

or who to contact.

Never seen the need tbh, always got my phone with me with I.C.E. contact stored

[EDIT] I don't use a lock code on my phone

they advertise in the bike mags they sponsor levi leipheimer (spelt wrong) i have my phone as well, my wife works as

a nurse and asked the ambulance crews about it they say the biggest thing about the phones is people lock them and put a

passcode on there so cant get into it, but they are now looking for road id tags.

Always wear mine when I'm out on 2 wheels, whether motorised or not.

It doesn't have an unlock code, can hold more than just the contact number, it can be any allergies, blood group etc, and mine is bright red.

I wear dog tags engraved with my name, home and wife's mobile number and a couple other bits of information. Hopefully should I be unconscious someone will find them!

tbh, i just carry my driving licence with me and a note saying "no known reaction". i ve always found the main things that paramedics ask you is who are you and are you allergic to anything.

When I am away on the fells or for a ride of more than few hours I wear both a Steve Cram wrist band and a pair of dog tags. Every year you hear of the remains of people that have been missing (some times for years) been found on the fells or in a road side ditch and how long it takes to i.d the remains, while a simple bit of kit would simplfy the process. Phones can be stolen or lost or (and I may be wrong here) just fall to bits due to weather etc but a bit of metal or rubber lasts.

I'd have thought there would be a strong chance of a phone being destroyed in a tumble, some LCDs are astonishingly vulnerable.

I got a pair of dogtags made, one clips on my jersey zip with the other in the saddle bag. It is engraved with emergency contact info and all the usual stuff, it only cost £3.99.

I dont carry anything else on the bike apart from my phone but as Bobtoo says this could get broken in a crash so the dogtags or RoadID are a simple way around it. I buy things like this on the basis that if I do then I will never need it, if I didn't then I would if you see what I mean.
