Hi, Can anyone advice me on cycling shirt both short and long sleeved. Don't want to spend a lot as I am not someone that cares too much about brands.

DHB always fare well on here and in reviews and are reasonably priced, especially if can find last years models

Personally, I scour the web looking for bargains myself, look for a link to today's bargains in the bargain thread

LS jerseys tend to be either thick and thermal or baggy for MTB wear, Short sleeve + baselayer + arm warmers might be better

LS wise, I have one of these, not too baggy and a good weight. Or I just use Nike LS running tops with something under or over as needed

Altura and dhb would be my suggestions, with dhb being the cheaper, but both are affordable and good quality.

I believe Aldi are having a cycling special buy event on the 24th . I bought a Jersey and a jacket last Sept . good quality for the money after a winter of riding they are both in good order .

Ive just bought the Aldi soft Shell top and its great. I think it is about £15.

As far as bibs go I really would by the best you can, not because of some snobbery but because it really does make a difference.

If going DHB, get the high end ones, they are great. For the summer I bought some Morvelo bib shorts and they really are the best money I have spent on any garment. The comfort and quality in material really does show and makes cycling distances a pleasure comfort wise.

I have cheap and reasonably expensive tops but I don't really see any real reason on spending more on tops providing the fit is good.

Why not get a short sleeve shirt but also buy some cycling sleeves that you can wear or not to change from long to short sleeve? I have white and black sleeves which work really well, keep me warm and dry and saves buying two tops.
