hi there to everyone,I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. having just bought a second hand but newish specialised secteur ,size 54 I'm wanting to put on some mudguards on a permanent fixture, I purchased from a local bike store a set of zefal shield r 30 guards and spent the next 2 days trying to set them up ,to no avail, ( not enough clearance under where the brakes are)kindly my store is letting me return them but I'm still wanting guards on as this bike is going to become my every day all year round bike.
thanks for any kind and helpful replys in advance.

have a look at SKS raceblade longs... they only go up to 23c tyres though but fit under the brake calliper using a bracket which gets around most clearance issues - even fitted a triban 3!

Giant do guards specifically for the Defy, and there's minimal clearance under the brake bridge with 25s. I have a Defy 2.5, and it's a bit of a faff fitting them first time. But they do fit. Maybe they'll fit your spesh too - find the on-line for about £27.
