In Hoddesdon this morning. I had pushed my bike along the pavement (wrong way along a one way street) and was waiting at a crossing, with other pedestrians, to go over a busy main road. The green man light turned green and people started to cross when 4 lunatics on road bikes decided they didn't want to stop and just went through the red light at a fair rate of knots. These weren't kids but adults on decent bikes who looked as if they were having their own little race or training ride. They were lucky not to have hit a pedestrian.

Never a copper about when they are needed!

We rightly complain when drivers treat the roads like their personal race track. The fact that some cyclists do the same is a shame.

Wasn't me, but I think I know the crossing. The one near Cafe Delight?

That's the one, I was crossing over to the church side to head off towards Broxbourne.

Had they been in a rush to get to the cafe I would have made allowances
