The Rivington 100, as the name suggests, is a 100-mile circular cycle challenge from Horwich Leisure Centre following the same route as the 2002 Commonwealth Games road race route through pretty Lancashire countryside, reservoirs….with a few big hills thrown in! Push yourself to the limit even further with the King of the Mountains competition, a timed section to the summit of Nick O’ Pendle. For those who want to participate but unsure if they can complete the full 100 miles, there is also a 52-mile option so please indicate on your registration form your intended route. Registration is a non-refundable/transferable £18 per person (£20 on the day). Both routes are marshalled and on road. The minimum age for the Rivington 100 is 16, anyone aged between 16-18 years old must have parental consent.

I'm interested but the information on the website is sparse.

Is food included?

Are there feed stations? if so ho many?

What else is included for £18?

start times?

Number of riders?

Route?

I did this last year and was a tough old route, but very enjoyable and I would thoroughly recommend it. Route wise the final 20 miles or so needs a bit of work as it wasn't the best but that aside was still worth it.

I intend on doing it again this year and hopefully have enough in the tank to attempt the timed hill climb this time
