he was a true gent, he ran rings round the opposition, the golden generation that played for The Rhinos alongside him will, I firmly believe never be repeated, i hope the powers that be at Headingley retire the no 7 shirt, he had one hell of a career, and fought for his place in that side, they were wrong that he couldn't make it in Superleague, a real giant in all but stature, RIP Robster

To many be was famous for fighting, raising awareness of and raising money for MND for research in MND. It matters not what sport he played for or how good he was at it compared to what he did to fight MND in so many ways. He's helped more people through that fight and above all else he should be remembered for that.

To many they have no knowledge of or interest in league but they could feel strongly about his MND story and perhaps contribute to his money raising. He was strong in his fight in retirement from sport.

I think that the thing that shone out was the friendship between two blokes that had played sport together, which endured and prospered after diagnosis. Upgrade the CBE and make him a real Sir Kev, if ever someone deserved it, it's him.

Exactly, to those who stood in the Southstand, he was always Sir Kev, his friendship and support of Rob was unwavering, he really should have King Charles tap him on the shoulder with that sword.

Many thanks @Beebo for starting the thread.

I don't usually partake in RIP threads but Rob and Kevin have shown over the last few years immense courage and a friendship that many people crave.

Thoughts to Rob's wife and kids and raise a glass Kevin, you deserve it.

Superb rugby player and a lovely man. He fought this battle right to the end. His mates and his family have been real heros. As for his wife, Lindsey. Nobody could have done more for Rob. As sad as it is. It will be a release for everyone. RIP
