I asked a German friend of mine if he could tell me where the Pope lives?

He said: "Yes, vat I can."

but the system does mean that we often end up with a very old Pope
because they are in position until they die

In my opinion it needs to become more normalised for them to retire when they get to a certain point

but then you have to have something for them after

and it would be a massive change in concept for an institution that is notorious for disliking change

Maybe the retired Popes should be sent up to the House of Lourdes? (I already have my coat on).

How about a black female pope ?
I am Irish catholic from birth
. but dont give a fiddlers f==k about the church , too many paedo priests and hypocrisy , spent years as an altar boy serving mass ( my mother was reverent catholic ) nothing i heard or saw endeared me to them . Religion and nationalism are a dual curse and i despise both . Religion is santa claus for adults . last time i stepped in church was when i was married and before that was 12 years of age. luckily i escaped the paedo boys by the skin of my underpants. others were not so lucky . Give us a break !! jeez ffs !!

Seems an anti Catholic rant, which I thought was not allowed. If you have issues with the church, I suggest you take them elsewhere.
