All those 1970's punk rock and new wave, which was more like the American version of punk rock, artists are reaching their mid 60's to early 70's and beyond now. The years have taken their toll. I saw The Damned at Blackburn's King Georges Hall in must be either 1977 or '78. They were very good, as were most of the many punk bands we saw at that venue.

I saw them about the same time at Cambridge Corn Exchange, supported by The Adverts I think. Captain Sensible was at the bar, chatting to fans before the gig.
The first British punk band to release a single, New Rose. One of my school mates bought it as soon as it came out. The first of many good songs from them.
