I've ordered some wheels for an old road bike they're 27x 1 1/4". I've ordered some Schwalbe tyres to go with them.

I understand 700c tubes and rim tape will fit. What width rim tape should I get?

Looking in my toy box, I have lots of sized 700c 25/35 sized tubes– will these fit?
Or would a narrower size, say 18/25 be better?

Thank you.

do you have any of this size in your 'toy-box'..?

Reason...........................................
i replaced the tubes in my Peugeot when i got it - for peace of mind - with new 700x23/35
one of the existing tubes is/was already a new 18/25 judging by the pristine rubber and the Presta threads..........

SWAP if you want ..............just PM your address

That's the right answer – as I have a few of the 23/35 lying about. :-)
Rim tapes seem to be about in 16mm and 20mm – if the wheel is 1 1/4" wide that's 31mm, now I realise the tape's mainly covering the spokes, so would 20+mm be best?
