Hello Shaun,
Is there any value in displacing this thread from Café and giving it a position in the Rides Section?
I'm guessing that the 'Rider's Tales' part was initiated to build an amusing, maybe historical collection of individual's reportage and anecdotes (eventually to be published as a book by Admin, of course ). Maybe I'm just old-skool doddery CycleChat veteran..? (No affirmation necessary BTW!)

I was prompted to write this by 'sunray' and his Herne Hill recollection! Hopefully there will be more. Separating the more prosaic stuff will define 'Rider's Tales' more effectively.

Finally, it might be worthwhile collecting all of Andy Allsopp's LEL posts together as an 'omnibus' and reposting them in this section - it was good then and, like all good TV, deserves a repeat on an ideal platform - 'Riders Tales'

I suppose we could pin it to the top of Rider's Tales as a sort of daily short-form report?

I'll look at digging out Andy's original thread too and re-posting it into Rider's Tales - there will be plenty of new members who haven't see it and will likely enjoy it as much as the rest of us did the first time around!!
