Hi All
Is there anyone out there who is withdrawing from the race? I would love to do it....just done the Etape and I am free on the 4th! Lost out in the ballot but happy to buy the entry off you?

I'm not sure that entries are saleable. Have you checked with the organisers or charities?

I am not sure that they are saleable, I was just thinking that if someone has their number etc then who would know if they were riding or me? If they cannot do it for whatever reason, better for someone to do,it at least?

You have to take ID to sign on and get your tags and numbers. Strictly not transferable. You may be able to still get a charity place.

CarlP....you are correct. I guess the only way would be for someone to have collected their ID and number on the Saturday and give it to me or as the info said allow autorisation from them to me to collect their number on the Saturday. I think the words straws and grasping come to mind!

I think a charity place is the realist option at this late stage.

Spoke to three charities who all said that they cannot add anymore people even if they had spare places (and one did!) as they had to submit all names by the end of May. Grrrrrr......

Tough call, but as it's certainly NOT a race, why not go and enter a real one, see how you do?

Eckshoooally, there is a race on as well, have misunderstood, did the OP mean the race or the sportive?

The ride is a sportive/leisure event, the RACE is a professional race UCI classified for teams at world tour, pro-conti, conti level, and national teams where space is available.
