RideLondon/Surrey 100 - Roll Call

[Longshot]

OK, in order to make it easier for various CCers participating in this event to spot each other, feel free to post a picture of yourself or your outfit or a description of you and your bike for others to spot on the day.

Me first.

I'll be wearing this:

I have a start time of 7.34

Bike: Specialized Sirrus Elite (Black and white) hybrid

I'll look like this......this is the bike I'll be using and the kit I'll be wearing - if I don't have my helmet on just look for the bright reflection from the top of the "slap head". Start time is 7:10.

In case you can't see the picture that well - it's an Endura FS260 top with Santini bib shorts, red socks and red spesch gel gloves and a Propero II red,white and silver helmet. If it's raining I'll have a black jacket on and endura black overshoes.

I'll be wearing a red and white Shutt top and riding. a Trek Madone 3.5 red, white and black. You will probably hear me swearing at the hills.

This is me (I'm the girl - random bloke) finishing Nottingham. Will post a pic of me in my top when I get home but I'm going to be riding in the Prudential London100 one with black shorts and whit shoes. Hopefully I won't have a waterproof on! Burgundy Pinnacle bike (with a few scratches)


Hopefully in 12 days my scabs and bruises will have vanished!

It depends how long I stop at the feed/ drink stations for, but I reckon 6-7 hours.

And as a fat man in lycra myself, if anyone takes the piss out of you dressed in lycra, just remind them "Doing something about it!".

I have no problem being a big bloke on a bike. I know having ridden over 2,700 miles over the last 9 months I am fitter than most people. I enjoy riding and as anyone who knows me will tell you, I don't really care about the opinions of anyone other than my close family and friends. I won't be the first to finish next Sunday but I'm sure, even with an 7:56 start, there will be loads of people behind me by the end of the ride.
