Hi,
For the 5th year we are inviting riders to ride 112km in aid of the charity Standing Together Against Domestic Violence. All genders are welcome but we are particularly keen to attract more women. Why 112 km? Because that is the average number of women every year who die at at the hands of their partner.
The ride starts at Windsor Great Park and threads its way through Bucks, Oxon and Berks. It is fully signposted and there are two control/refreshment points on the route where cake/fruit/water are supplied. We even have a broom wagon! What's more our previous riders tell us what a lovely route it is.
I know many people are sick of being asked to raise money through sponsorship and whilst we do ask you to try to amass some funds for us we cover all our costs with the £10 entry fee. What we really want is loads of riders supporting the cause. Of course if you have generous friends/families that will be very welcome.
It's really easy to sign up. Go to www.standingtogether.org.uk and read more or just click on the easy to use link on the home page.
I look forward to seeing you on the day.
Best wishes
Anthony
