I'm planning to meet up with a friend at the end of January for a one day cycle. I'm based in Cheltenham and he is based in Liverpool so plan is to meet somewhere roughly half way and complete a 5 hour ride on road bikes. Has anyone got any good suggestions of rides or pointers of where to suggest to look for a route roughly half way between Cheltenham and Liverpool (would need to be a circular ride as we will need to park the cars at a meeting point). Were both fairly new to the sport so help would be greatful. Rough estimate of distance would be around the 50- 60 mile mark.
