Ride of the Roses

Completed the Ride of the Roses today was pretty poor conditions till the 70 mile mark and the last 15 was very tough going through fatigue.

Took approx 6 hours 25 mins (not including stops) and the hills were very tough (check out the elevation data).

Free t-shirt and a medal, everyone's happy!

Good job on doing it Garz, looks like you'll have to edit your signature. Was the T-shirt worth the pain?

Err the t-shirt isnt the best quality, more proud of doing a 100 miler and raising £200 for the cause. There was some painful climbs, and the sores creep in after about 60 miles and only get worse.

Worth it as its got me moving from my comfort zone of 25 miles per trip to over 50 building up to the event. Problem now is unless I do over 30 miles I will feel guilty!
