Yes I was down for 100 but wimped out and did the 80. No idea what my time was as having checked out at the finish I took the tag home rather foolishly (I'd parked away from the start). It will be unimpressive, I'm sure I was overtaken by everybody and near the top of Tan Hill I stopped to fix a broken chain, and it wasn't mine. That's my excuse, anyway..

My first sportive and very happy with the friendly and helpful support from the organisers.

Yes, it was a bit windy.

i know the route and wonder what gearing was used on this sportive? reason i ask is i'm saving for a road bike but can't decide between compact or triple. thanks.

I'd definitely opt for a Compact over a triple.
