Reports suggest that richie is leaving team sky to pursue a GC role within another team
Now - i am a huge fan of richie and over the last few years he has helped wiggo and froome complete tdf wins
BUT
i don't think he has what it takes to win a GC - he seems to me to have too many off days within the 21 day race, twice in 2013 he blew while helping froome win the tdf, last year he fell Ill before the start of the giro. even though he crashed a few times in this years giro, he still seemed way off the pace for a GC contender
Thoughts??
