I have been looking at both of the above and they look pretty much the same. Do ribble get their frames from the same factory? The only difference I can find is the price. Dengfu being half the cost for the frame and fork combo.

The Ribble R872 has been bought by some members of the forum. With the DengFu your buying the unknown, I'm sure its more than capable but hey ho

The difference is going to be customer service and warranty. If your frame from Deng Fu fails or has a problem then sending it back to HK is going to be a pain. All that said I have a Chinese frame that has been fine and @gb155 Iirc has had two from Deng Fu.

To be honest the price difference makes the lack of customer service acceptable. So im right in thinking they are from the same factory?

I would imagine if they are, Ribble would not want that in the public domain, nor for that manner any of the well known western brands if they do share a factory with cheaper buy direct frames. A lot do get their frames manufactured in either China or Taiwan so there will be some overlap. It may be coming from the same factory, same raw material supplier or just labour and knowledge transfer between factories in the same province in China
