Hi, Ive been out of being a Roadie for 20 years now since I sold my Mercian Strata Speciale to buy my first mountain bike (Look Mi60), my mate got a Carrera Vanquish on C2W, so it was time to drag my 82 Peugoet out of my mums coal house and revive it, spent £40 on it which was some new Miche calipers from CRC (very nice for £17), amd some new tyres & tubes from Decathlon! Well I was hit by the road bug, and cafes! I forgot how much fun it was and what I have been missing.
I found out that my company does CycleScheme and after 2 months of tariling the net I decided to visit Ribble and fell in love with the Gran Fondo, the staff there were more than helpful and I got sized up on the steel donkey and since then Ive ordered a Gran Fondo Veloce 10 54cm. The bike will arrive in April which suit me as the weather should pick up and I will put the Peugoet away till next winter.
I looked at a few other bike, and other shops were also very friendly such as Stanley Fearns in Matlock, and Mercians in Derby, Star Bikes in Hull, but I must say I went into samways in Derby and they couldnt get away from me fast enough, as if I had bad BO, so Im sorry Mr Samway, Ive had bikes off you since I was 4, including the trusty Peugoet but never again!
