One of my bezzies has one, he loves it, couldn't praise them highly enough when buying it, did arrive with the wrong tyres, but that was sorted & the correct sent out to him the next day (and he got to keep the original tyres too)
He still raves about it & he has achieved 3 PB's since riding it

I have one and it does me fine. The new carbon fibre ones seem very good value. The one slight downside seems to be that their customer service can be a bit poor, my bike was second hand so it was not an issue for me but you do see a lot of people commenting on it.

Have a 7005SL Veloce. Late 2007. Went to Preston to get measured. Do the same if you are getting one. No problems. Perfectly set up straight from the box. Fantastic value - esp the special edition bikes if the spec suits you.

The bikes themselves look very tempting. Everyone I know who has one is very happy with them.....

However, you take your life in your hands when fdealing with Ribbles "customer service". If everything arrives on time and correct then alls-well, but if anything goes wrong, getting it resolved is a nightmare.

The simple act of contacting them can take a week, and dont expect any action until you chase and chase. I'm currently on the verge of instigating legal action with Ribble over a warranty return on a set of Fulcrum wheels, so I may be biased, but my recent experience has forever put me off any further purchases from this mob.

I've had 2 bikes from them and countless other stuff. The latest bike had an issue with frame alignment, I took it back and they replaced the frame fairly quickly. I always call into the shop as I work nearby. I've no complaints and their prices are very competitive.

The carbon frames they sell (Pedalforce, Deda) can be found badged up by other people who will charge more. I would say the same is probably true for their alloy frames. Having a blue 'winter Ribble' is actually quite cool (a lot of the local racing fraternity use them as their spare or training bike), and a young guy I knew used one in late-season national-level hillclimb competitions, where he finished (excuse the upcoming pun) near the top.

In short they are very good value. I can't comment on their customer service, short of saying that I've never had a problem buying stuff through them. However, as they sell to punters worldwide, don't expect a personal service, or getting through to somebody on the phone in a hurry should you need to query something.

you should be aware that Ribble is well known for 'poor' customer service to put it mildly! Bear this in mind before purchasing.

Ribble bikes are okay & good for the money however on the cheaper frames I've handled they didn't measure up to the advertised geometry (which resulted in having to swap other components)

Lol me too, god i'm so into the bike scene at the mo, beel looking for ages at bikes but still unsure what to go for, so many choices especially for around the £1000 mark, any ideas....?[quote name='Chris.IOW' timestamp='1307599176' post='1700843']
They always seem to get good write ups in group tests. I must admit to having my eye on one, but then I have my eye on a lot of bikes at the moment!!
