Looks good, until the wind blows the wrong way, I bet it can get a wee bit choppy out there!

I use the costal cycle path between Rhos-on-sea and Prestatyn regularly between March and October. The blue bridge is not wide enough on either the road or pavement to accomadate cars or peds and cycles. I look forward to this new bridge opening up and making my weekend rides along the coast safer.

Rhyl is on the North Wales Coast. The cycle route is very good actually.

Until that is you get a windy day

Then its hard work, but wind is wind wherever you are.

The problem I found having regularly commuted along that path is that the sand gets everywhere and acts as a grinding paste on your chain and gears. Not so bad if its just a once in a while fun ride, day in day out it soon gets to costing money

Looks great but they'll have to keep on top of the sand drifts. Great cycle track from Colwyn Bay to Prestatyn with the existing bridge being the only dangerous stretch - just a shame the windy is usually from the west so against me on the way home

I had the misfortune to work on the seafront in the car park by the sun centre about 20 years ago. it was between Christmas and new year and I was putting a site together. the sand was terrible, especially in the wind. we resorted to taping up safety goggle vent holes in an effort to be able to see!!
