Reynolds 553

was idly flicking through gumtree looking for a cheap Reynolds-framed project, when I came across a Peugeot with 553 tubing, which I've never heard of. A bit of research (I googled it ) and it seems to be pretty much a Pug only tube, 1990s but not much more info.
Can anyone enlighten me on it?

Edit: I've just looked a bit closer at the photos and found the reynolds sticker says "double butted down tube" so mostly plain gauge then!

Ooh, it's a cromo.

Can't find any reference to it anywhere, except with respect to Peugeot road bikes. I wonder if it was a bespoke customer spec?
