Hi All,
Just wanted to post a short review of my new camera in case anyone is looking for one. I got this little action camera on Amazon after receiving a gift card for some work at university.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N3Q4DLS/
It's waterproof case is 100% compatible with GoPro mounts and accessories, but it does come with a ton of mounts including a handlebar one. The camera is easy to use, although the default settings means it records on a 3 minute cyclic setting till you disable this. The battery cover is fiddly to open, I used a precision screwdriver to lever the cover off, while pulling the release switch with a finger nail. The quoted battery life is 2hrs, but you can get a spare pair and external charger for £10.
The video quality is excellent, the you tube video maybe doesn't do it justice due to compression. As you can see, I ride down some steps and the mount keeps the camera in the same position. The only drawback is the camera records into a .mov file and Adobe Premiere Elements 12 (my video editing software) wouldn't load the file. I had to use a converter (Macroplant Adapter) to convert to a .MP4 file. Anyway, link to the video follows.
