Anyone want to repair/restore these wheels that have come my way?
Bought a bike to restore but turns out the frame was scrap so ended up stripping for parts. The wheels are potentially decent but I'll never do anything with them so if anyone wants them, or to use the parts I'm happy to donate for the cost of postage. Might be able to find a 5 speed Maillard freewheel, too. Bike they came from was late 70's/early 80's, a real mixed bag of components - Campag GS and 980, Sugino, Shimano 600EX, Dia Compe.
I think the hubs are Spanish, from late 70's made by Amuat, 36h. It's possible they are Sachs/Maillard, really not certain. Front QR is Campagnolo, rear is Spidel/Maillard. Bad bit is broken back axle but that should be easy enough to replace, standard M10 x 1.0 threading. Cup/cones look ok.
Chromed spokes showing corrosion.
Rigida rims seem to be straight and true but will need some fettling to improve cosmetics.
Anyone?
