I have replaced the bearings on traditional cone bearings a few times, easy enough - unscrew, balls out, balls in ( ;) ) screw back in.

What type of bearings for the RS500s and the RS10s take, and are they easily replaceable?

Thanks

Not sure, ive got RS10s, so will be interested to see the response. When should you replace the bearings anyhow?

A quick google says that they made both those wheels with both types.

The only way to find out is to take the lock nut off and see whats behind the seal.

If they are sealed bearings then you just knock the old bearings out and install new ones - as in this vid.

I know my last RS10 wheel was loose ball bearings, had them out a couple of times and managed to scatter them to all 4 corners of the kitchen
