Worth bearing in mind (and I speak from experience

) that the top and bottom are different. I don't know if it was the wheel itself, or just the bush, but when I got them the wrong way around, one of them wouldn't rotate when tightened.

yes - some are different - the top one has more float (small side to side movement) to help with chain placement onto the sprockets. also some may be directional i..e. meant to be fitted one way (or did I dream that up?) .. but this is on the high end mechs.

as long as the number of teeth are the same and the for the same number of gears (i.e. chain speed),. you should be fine.

I fitted a lightweight pair of alloy jockeys to a SRAM 9 sp mech and filed down the small pllastic bushes since the overall width would have been greater so less thread engagement for the two bolts - so beware of that.
