replacing carbon stays

Is it possible to saw off/take off the carbon stays from an Alu' frame and weld on aluminium ones?

I say this because the carbon stays have ""pull out"" slightly of my aluminium frame, and repairing that would be hefty...

What about gluing them back in?

Argos cycles'll probably have a go at repairing that for you, or if you fancy having a go yourself 3M do a glue that the manufacturers use- i'll see if I can dig out a product name for you.....
