Replacing a seat stay

Just aquired a Reynolds 853 Dawes Super Galaxy frame and forks with damage to one of the chain stays. Is it repairable ?

Got it dirt cheap with the following attached...
Scruffy but functional Tiagra STIs
FSA drops
Tektro Oryx cantis
Deore crankset, chainrings are bust though
XT rear derailleur
Tiagra front derailleur

Looks like someones used it as a commuter...not been terribly well looked after

Going to have a chat with my LBS...even if its cream crackered, there's plenty of bits on it to make a healthy profit.

Anyone had frames repaired ?

definitely worth fixing- You're probably better off getting it welded- try the yellow pages. Do you have any pics of the frame?

I've had frames repaired by Mercian and Ellis Briggs. They were 531, but AFAIK 853 frames are equally repairable.
