replacement r501 freehub

I know i can get a new freehub for £20 ish , does anyone know of another compatible freehub ?

Seems a bit overpriced when you can get a new wheelset for around £60 .

The current freehub is definitely grinding .

Have you tried stripping it down and giving it a good clean and re-grease, sounds like it may just have picked up some gritty bits........

You can't strip down Shimano freehubs.

freehub bodies are just not interchangeable

You can't strip down Shimano freehubs.

But you can flush them through with solvent or GT85. I was surpruised by the amount of crud that came out of mine.

I took my R501 hubs to bits and cleaned and re greased them and they felt they were brand new again.

I meant strip the hub and take the freehub off and give it a flush out with GT45 to dislodge any sh1t3 and relube......
