I was an idiot. Last time I put my mower away in the shed I removed the battery (as I always do) then put it down outside while I sorted the shed out and closed the door. I forgot to pick the battery up again and didn't notice for a few days until I spotted it in the garden. It just so happened that those few days had seen constant rain
I took the battery inside and let it dry out for a few days then I put it on the charger to see if it would charge. It doesn't.
So I need a replacement, but they seem to be impossible to find. Why do Qualcast make it so hard to get replacement batteries? I've already had to ditch a strimmer in the past because the battery stopped holding charge and replacements weren't available. I won't be using Qualcast cordless stuff in future.
The battery is a 36LB2601 if anyone knows where I can get one from. Otherwise I will have to treat myself to a new mower I suppose!
