Hi Guys,

I have been researching on the forums as I want to replace the current brake pads on my bike as they are not stopping as well as they used to.

Having located a few different sets but I am unsure what exact ones to get.
I have a giant CSR hybrid 4 bike(2010).

Amazon and chainreaction links (kool stop pads)
Amazon and Chainreaction links (swiss stop pads)

can anyone suggest which ones i need? or alternatives?

They are both good just I find the kool stops produce more gunk when used in wet conditions.
The choice is kool stop salmons or swiss stop EHPs.

thanks for the quick reply bud, but I am unsure whether i need just the pad or the whole unit.

I am guessing since this is the first time that i have bought a replacement set, i need the complete unit and then in the future, i can simply swap the pads out?

It depends on the brake pads you have, they could be cartridge pads so only the actual pad needs replacing otherwise the whole thing, that is a pad permanently attached to the holder. Also if you have the second type you could change them for cartridge type which would require you to buy the holders as well.
