Removing wheel decals

Have some Shimano wheels that could go on the giant, but the graphics don't match the bikes colour scheme. Easiest way to remove the decals?

Not sure on the shimanos but my carrera ones were a sticker.. Hot air gun did it!

If you use a hot air gun or a hair dryer etc you get barely any residue!

Thanks everyone. Will try the hair dryer technique tommorow and wipe of any residue with alchohol wipes

So the decals are off, and wheels look much better for it. Wiped them down with alchohol wipes, but it hasn't removed the glue residue. Where can i buy this acetone you men speak of?

Try nail polish remover if it's only a small amount. Try paint suppliers or this if you need a lot.

Don't buy any hair dye at the same time though or you might get a visit from the anti terrorism police.

WD40 will work as well

Steaming off using the kettle normally does it. I can't remember it leaving residue but after having to clean the residue from labels on beer bottles for homebrew, and can +1 WD40.

You can usually just roll off the residue with your fingers.
Takes a bit of work though.
