I was hoping to sell my jacket on here but I've realised that there's two black oil stains on it. I've put the jacket through the washing machine twice but they won't come off. Does anyone here any any good tips on how to remove these?

Rub a little washing up liquid with a couple of drops of vinegar and leave over night, then wash as normal....it might take a couple of goes

I'll give this a try tonight, thanks!

I suspect that all WD40 will do is disperse the oil over a wider area. Ideally, you want to remove it with a non-oil based product like cellulose thinners, although depending on what the jacket is made of, that may or may not be a good idea...

Another for the WD40

Few years ago i had a white shirt that i got some oil on (i work in Engineering) and it had to be clean for an important meeting. The boss said WD40, i thought he was joking but it did work.

dont over do it though.
