Recently seen these in a couple of garages, anyone tried them or are you just as well stopping for a good strong coffee ? (and cake)

Same as Red Bull basically.

Does the job, but someone will be on here in a mo to tell you how you can make your own in a bucket for a few pennies...

I don't like the way they taste but I quite like how well they work, so if you want energy for a ride I would recommend the little 50ml bottles rather than the giant cans. All the energy-boosting stuff of the cans in a couple of gulps.
I necked one just before doing a marathon on quad rollerskates and knocked 20 minutes off my time!

The 'original' (brown can) tastes a bit less medicinal than Red Bull and goes better with Jagermeister. I like the dangerous looking packaging but 500ml of fizzy stuff leaves me too bloated.

I like em but wont use them in place if an isotonic drink whilst doing physical exercise because they don't replenish all the salts etc that you sweat out and need replaced.

Theres a cheap version of RedBull, done by Euroshopper or something. Tastes just like Redbull, but its only 30p.
Closest thing to RedBull you can get, without having to pay alot.
And ive tried alot of energy drinks.
Wouldnt have one when im out on the bike though.

Apparently, coke with some coffee in is like rocket fuel......

I've tried most caffeine drenched drinks at one time or another (before a ride rather than during). I've settled on Lucozade sport caffeine. Always go well on it and, unlike Red Bull etc I don't charge out, pumped up like an idiot and then blow up 10 miles from home.
And as for coffee with some coke in...
I've tried this but it leaves tell-tale brown stains around your nostrils.
