Regulating rickshaws

Are rickshaws a danger on UK roads?

so whaddaya think... do they need regulating?

I think it's a stupid idea... Fair enough if you need a street trader's license (There's one in York that has one) so the council knows you're operating and that you have their backing, but mechanically speaking, where would the regulations end?

First rickshaws, then commercial cargo bikes/trikes... Then non-commercial, then it'll move onto bicycles. Where they'll draw the line is a mystery...

no - and I'm pleased to see that even the rabid LTDA has now more or less given up on this one. Mind you, when a black cab driver was found to have committed 140 rapes their standard line about trustworthy cabbies started to look a little shabby........
