Sorry if this has been posted befor
After a ride my legs would start to ache (maybe 3 hours after) my lbs told me to try some rego recovery shake after my ride maximum 30 minutes after stoping my ride the they told me I can mix it with water or milk!
So next time I'm going out I'll try this out but am I ok using this after every ride or just big days out?
Weekend ride in the lake will be about 10-25 miles on mtb and I'll do about 35 miles on my hybrid bike if I don't go mountain biking, I also bike to work Monday-Friday 41/2 there and same back any one give me some info on using this stuff Thanx lee!

You'd be just as good with a glass of milk, to be honest. Legs aching after a long ride is perfectly normal - it's called 'exercise'

Normal balanced diet should take care of the rest...

Let me guess, your LBS sells Rego?

For your commute and short rides (less than an hour or two) then you shouldn't need anything special. If you start knocking back a recovery shake after every ride you'll quickly pile on the pounds. After a particularly hard ride it's important to refuel ASAP after the ride. Milk and tuna are good sources of protein. Whey protein is good sometimes for convenience (and is significantly cheaper than Rego if you buy it from e.g. Myprotein.co.uk). So a glass of milk or some whey protein mixed with water and a tuna sandwich would work. Any proper food really (within reason) - just as long as you eat it straight after your ride.

One of my mates had rego when we were on a mtb weekend last year and the smell he created during the night in the tent was so bad the other 2 of us had to sleep out in the open to get some fresh air! It was so bad just kicking him out the tent didnt solve the problem because it was lingering in the air no matter how much deodorant was sprayed! So that has put me off ever trying it.

what I ment is when I'm doing a long day in the lakes (weekend) then biking all week to and from work
