As well as being unofficial computer tech support at work, I now get asked bike questions.

So I pass it onto here, what do we make of this Reebok MTB from Halfords?
Other than the £320 'full price' is clearly a joke.

Its actually slightly better than what I suspected  My only experience of a Reebok branded mtb was a full suspension one that lay unsurprisingly unused in the bike shed for a few years.

£320 is a good joke though LOL I thing for official purposes it has to been that price in one store for at least 28 days before; have hellfrauds got a store in the Shetlands or maybe it was the Guernsey store

I'm suggesting a btwin Rockrider instead. The brand seems to get reasonable reviews where you at least get what you pay for.

The lack of any info on the Reebok is very off putting (Shimano what exactly? Suspension: front - helpful!)

For £160 you can get a much better second hand bike.

I got a 1 year old Mongoose 27 Speed SRAM X5 equiped MTB with hydraulic/coil suspension with lockout complete with SPD pedals and shoes for £175 second hand.

I don't doubt it, but it's not for me and I'm not inclined to trawl second hand ads on the buyer's behalf.
This also relies on being able to find a second hand bike in your area and in your size. Norfolk and short is not that easy for MTBs!
